Stock up on medicine to take with you on the ship; most runaway flag ships (ships that change their registry to whatever country has the most lax laws) often don't have much of a medicine chest outside of first aid supplies. I can't imagine what it'll be like on a freighter in the Atlantic, but my thoughts will be with you! I'm sure you are going to see some amazing stuff. Or, well, just lots of water.
